| UKTOUSA Alaskan Malamutes and Freighting Huskies Pronounced Uck-Too-Sah What does it mean? UK..... To...... USA |
I ( Lidia ) did indeed come from the UK to the USA. UKTOUSA, home of Alaskan Malamutes, one Yukon Husky, four Hedlund Huskies and one very enthusiastic and committed musher! Our passion is to enjoy many scenic miles throughout the Fall and Winter months in search of adventure and warm, fuzzy memories. |
| A lifestyle that totally takes over your life and defines who you are. The joy of animals who love you no matter what, has to be one of the best experiences in life. I always enjoy telling non-doggie friends that our home is filled with love..... canine love! From the old dogs who have given us many years of joy and commitment and who still give us 100% of their love and dedication, to my youngest dogs who fill our lives with such joy and playfulness. Couldn't imagine a single day without the companionship of my furry family. |

| MARY SHIELDS of Salcha, Alaska, learned about perseverance from running dogs. She and Lolly Medley were groundbreakers when they ran the Iditarod in 1974. That was the second year of the race, but the first year for women to enter - and finish. At the starting line, someone hollered, 'You better turn around now, you'll never make it." Shields recalled. "That meant for sure I was going to." | Sasquatch (big foot!) We miss him |
| It all started with this guy.. |
| My home of furry angels is a forever home. I rarely have my own litter, but when I do, it is usually because some of my dogs may have retired from their adventures in harness or sadly, crossed over the rainbow bridge. I do hope to have a couple of litters over the next few years. |
